Crossroads YMCA:

A Case Study

The Problem:

In 2019, the Southlake YMCA (the flagship of the Crossroads YMCA System) was looking for new and exciting programs to offer their patrons. While offering a large array of legacy sports such as soccer & baseball, demand from parents have shown a desire for progressive sports with clear goals. Further research conducted by Triangle2 Solutions solidifies the need for new, individualized sports to enter the ring.

The Solution:

NinjaZone and Southlake YMCA worked together to implement a program using their already existing gymnastics space. Using NinjaZone’s Lesson Plans & Skill Videos, they were able to train staff who were ready to take on new classes and new demographics of kids. Southlake YMCA also utilizes staff training modules including:

  • Class Management Videos

  • NinjaZone In-Person Training/Consultation

  • NinjaZone Mobile App

The YMCA is also a huge advocate of the NinjaZone Uniform System, which allows students to learn character traits such as self responsibility and a sense of community, which are 2 very important core values that align with the YMCA Brand.

The Outcome:

Since its implementation in 2019, the NinjaZone program in Southlake YMCA has reached thousands of kids. Even during the COVID Pandemic, there was no decline in the program, and numbers continued to sky rocket. Over the last couple of years, the following growth markers were recorded:

  • 2019: 418 kids served

  • 2020: 1505 kids served

  • 2021: 2071 kids served

  • 2022: 3085 kids served

  • 2023: 3948 kids served

Using the uniform system, the YMCA has also seen considerable growth, recorded by the following benchmarks.

  • 2019: 317 Uniform Packs Sold ($7,925 gross revenue)

  • 2020: 356 Uniform Packs Sold ($8,900 gross revenue)

  • 2021: 458 Uniform Packs Sold ($11,450 gross revenue)

  • 2022: 651 Uniform Packs Sold ($16,275 gross revenue)

  • 2023: 923 Uniform Packs Sold ($23,000 gross revenue)

The Bottom Line:

The Southlake YMCA has seen continued growth and success over the past 5 years, in both recurring tuition as well as uniform sales. NinjaZone has since been implemented in 6 YMCAs of the Crossroads system, bringing a new & diverse offering to clients all over Northwest Indiana
